Eurochile Business Foundation prepares for the Ecomondo Business Mission 2023
The Eurochile Business Foundation will carry out the Business Mission 2023 to the Italian International Trade Fair Ecomondo, together with leading entrepreneurs from the sustainability and circular economy sector.
The Eurochile Business Foundation is preparing to carry out its Business Mission 2023. This mission, which will be led by the Foundation’s Business Cooperation team, will consist of attending, together with a group of entrepreneurs specialised in sustainability and circular economy, the Ecomondo Fair, to be held in Rimini, Italy, from 7 to 10 November. During the event, they will have the opportunity to learn about new technologies and services related to environmental protection and sustainability.
Ecomondo is an international trade fair held in Italy, focusing on circular economy and sustainable resource management. Standing out as one of the most important events in Europe in the field of green economy and sustainability, its 26th edition is presented as an ecosystem of ecological transition. It is a space for meeting and dialogue between industries, relevant actors, opinion leaders, and local authorities. It is the ideal place to address all the key elements that define the European Union’s environmental policy development strategies.
The main objective of Ecomondo is to promote the circular economy and the sustainable management of natural resources and waste, through a wide range of sustainability-related topics. These themes cover waste management, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, water management, air pollution, renewable energy, biodiversity, eco-innovation, among others. The fair features multiple stands of European companies and offers a variety of activities, including conferences, seminars, expert presentations and panel discussions on topics relevant to sustainability and the circular economy.
As for the companies that will participate in this Business Mission, they include Volta SpA, Asipla, the Systems Biotechnology Centre of the Andrés Bello University (UNAB), the National Association of the Recycling Industry (ANIR), Resiter, Remap SpA, Kalewün, Hidronor Chile S. A., Red Pyme Mujer, Nido Biotech, Ecología en Tu Barrio, Bellbast Chile, Comberplast, Ecobio and Inmobiliaria Vega Monumental S. A. In addition, the Mayor of the Municipality of Quemchi, Luis Macías and representatives of the Regional Government of Los Lagos will participate.
“The Ecomondo Business Mission will allow us to see once again how new solutions and technologies are being developed in this important field. It is a unique opportunity to learn from experts, share knowledge and establish strategic connections with European companies engaged in the area. For Eurochile, this mission is a further demonstration of our ongoing commitment to the promotion of the circular economy and sustainable development“, highlights Nina Morales, Director of Institutional Affairs and Business Cooperation at Eurochile.
During the week, companies will have the opportunity to meet with European counterparts in previously selected one-to-one meetings, access conferences, seminars and workshops of interest and participate in technical visits to waste pre-treatment plants. In addition, the objective is that the companies, among the programmed activities, can tour the fair, learn about new trends and technologies and generate their own network of contacts for future projects.
Several participating companies are travelling to Ecomondo for the first time, for others it is their second time, as they were part of the mission that Eurochile organised in November 2022. For the latter companies, their interest in travelling again is to close agreements and alliances that they generated last year, but also to learn about the latest trends and strengthen the contacts generated.
Ultimately, these initiatives developed by Eurochile allow entrepreneurs to strengthen their knowledge on trends and new technologies that are being used in Europe in relation to sustainability and circular economy. Moreover, this mission adds to the trajectory that the Foundation has been following in terms of helping SMEs to adopt more circular practices.
